Here’s another great invention by our office: two sided painting. Here’s our financial plan. We’re going to sell shares. One note will cost $25,- Three notes printed on an A4 will cost €75,- Each note will numbered and signed by the very artist, who’s made this brilliant painting. After some time sells are closed and the painting will be brought on Ebay under auction conditions. First price to ask is the value of the sold shares. Then we will see how much higher the final bid will be. After redrawing my expenses (I really need some money) profit will be divided equally among the buyers per share. So in fact it is a lottery: there’s a good chance to win, which get better as much as you spread the news. Within a few days a PayPal page will be set on our EcoTony blog

By the way: the construction photo shows that REAL BLOOD of the painter is added!

Sexiest Real Triangle ever.

Left: Michelangelo’s Creation, Sistine Chappell, ceiling, 1508-‘12. The left hand belongs the Adam, first man on Earth, as described by Genesis. The Hand at the right belongs to God Almighty, notice the little angel on his shoulder. There’s some tension into this picture. ‘Will they (ever) touch, or have they (just) touched’? That’s why I shopped this * into it.

Middle: this is the sexiest real triangle I could imagine (not using imaginary numbers though). Why? If stuck to real positive numbers (all distances in nature and measures in architecture are like that) the short 2 edge keeps its size, no matter what value x has (from 0 till infinity).

That’s what substitution in Pythagoras Theorem shows √((x+1/x)^2-(x-1//x)^2)= 2 However, when x= 13,7 billion light years, we are at the edge of the Universe. So by then, we have a choice: do we scratch the sharp point of this triangle at the ceiling of the Universe or do we poke the short 2 edge of this triangle to the ceiling of the Universe? This kind of gives you control, doesn’t it? To me it does. It is like being in touch with eternity.

On the right there’s an image that might ruin this really sexy triangle theory. What if space bends as modern Physics learns us? Will these x+1/x and x-1/x be able to pass bended spaces and don’t get distorted by it? To my opinion they won’t, because bended spaces are caused by gravity and, as you might know, a mathematical line has no thickness and there for no mass.

Calling myself a platonist I’ve been inspired by this very Rolling Stones song. I could never hear and understands their lyrics. I guess I was too young, Jagger has an accent which is not from Oxford and when I was young it wasn’t that easy to get a written something. ‘Love is all arround you’ sounds very Platonic to me and of course we do love this music, high voices, heavy pumping base, etc.. The original video is supposed to refer to Oscar Wilde (one of the first outcoming homosexuals) as well as (I guess) some drug issue and some problems with justice. What’s my point? WE DON’T CARE IF YOU POOR & LONELY, WE DON’T CARE IF YOU’RE LAST & UGLY, that what I’ve had in mind all the time. Reality sucks every now and then.

Ladies and gentlemen: on the left there is Avalokitesvara. ‘According to Mahāyāna doctrine, Avalokiteśvara is the bodhisattva who has made a great vow to assist sentient beings in times of difficulty, and to postpone his own Buddhahood until he has assisted every being on Earth in achieving Nirvāṇa. I was especially fascinated by the second face from above on the picture; which looks like an angry monster and not divine at all.

My conclusion: this guy must lose his nerves every now and then! Which I can quiet understand, because he’s got the worst job I can think off. This guy is supposed to listen patiently to all this complaining people explaining their difficulties and stupidities and then, as it seems to me, kicking their asses towards heaven every now and then. Knowing that they won’t ever come back to say thanks or to help him out whenever necessarily. Remember he is not enlightened yet; so he is still very human himself.

On the right: the Pedalternorotandomovens centroculatus articulosus by Maurits C. Escher, 1951. As the artist wrote himself popularly called Wentelteefje (meaning ‘rolling little bitch’, also a pancake like receipt) or Rolpens (meaning minced beef in tripe). Rolmops (meaning collared herring) would have been fine with me as well. There are some videos on http://youtu.be/j1oDed95b-8 and http://youtu.be/896XoGW6erQ, but I don’t think the ultimate one has been made yet. I would like to see this little legs sprawling and rolling at the same time. I think this will give a ridiculous animation: seeming to be helpless at first, though known as very effective. More important: Escher wrote that he has created this bitchy rolling monster, for being unsatisfied by a gap in Mother Nature: there are no wheeling creatures at all. I wonder if Esher would have added, as far as we know, if he had lived today. According to my information lots of wild live is still undiscovered especially at the oceans. Also according to my information: lots of wild live is threatened as well and will vanish even before being described at all! Makes you have a look like this angry Avalokitesvara monster, right?

On the middle my own stuff: a kind of an algorithm to divide angle into two. This five little toothed wheels at the top in the middle are no coincidence. I was hoping studying these remaining parts would lead to some new, something unexpected. As I have complained before; main result is lim 2tan(1/2^n*pi)/(1/2^n)= 2pi (if n approaches infinity) which any high school kid can calculate, using l’Hospital’s theorem. Also easily to understand: 1/cos^2-tan^2= 1, which is trivial considering cos^2+sin^2= 1. Maybe I found some nice sequences to approach 1 and arctangent (1/2) using golden section powers. Maybe I have found some interesting arctangent formulas. Maybe I just refreshed my integration skills and learnt something of polar coordinates. Maybe there’s still some math hidden into this drawing which I’ll find in the future. Maybe this all is just an illustration of an old Rolling Stones hit; I can get no…………… Maybe I just need my ass kicked towards heaven, right?

Tribute to a blind spot; it takes a pair of compasses to draw a square

Hidden in these drawings there is some kind of algoritm to divide an angle into two, as you might have discovered. My reinvention of the wheel, I joked. I was hoping to find something out of the remaining 1-pi/4, just to prove there is a rotten thing in the state of Western Thinking. Having a non polluted world based on logics, not only based on moralities, is the idea. This blind spot is good ………my intentions were good……..now what the f… is wrong with it? Third time I’m using this concept, so it’s worn out? Of course it is forced…. is it to much?? Of what?? I’m not some Nicolas Ray, am I? Just cut, Cut, CUT? Of course I’m not. I just turned my reinvention of the wheel into a digital flirt, of at least an attempt to. Now what is still bothering me? An overload of info put into one triptych? This very question whether she likes it or not? Any answer is digital itself of course: who’s afraid of digits? May be virtual is even an better word as digital is here. If I were an ancient Roman Emperor, I might have had her thrown to the lions, if she hadn’t responded well. So let’s see if there is some modern, funny alternative to deal with unwilling virtual muse.

Critical Comparisons Pentagram

See: I adjusted this Feng Shui pentagram to several scientifically disciplines to summarize them. Well known western trinities like past, present & future, body, soul & spirit, y=f(x) where given a domain (environment) and a subset (purpose).

Cause: I enjoy to simplify things. I started this pi project trying to simplify & summarize math, in order to make it (at least its basics) accessible for much more people. I believe numbers are as much as important as words and images are. I was guided by this pentagram, which is rather objective, if compared with a regular human teacher. I was able to escape from scientifical traditions, habits and other personal stuff, which are not as objective as they seem and as they should be.

Therefore: I am trying to promote this pentagram. I created one for daily life. Hope you understand: please let me know.

PS. I am still convinced I am able to hack or crack this pi number. Attacking this problem I have to work in waves. Circumstances force me to stop for a while, but I’ve gathered lots of fine tools working on this. So I reckon it is only a matter of time.

SEE on the left a scheme to summarize the Kabbala as inspired by a book by Gahl Sasson & Steve Weinstein. On the right a scheme to summarize Feng-Shui as found in a book by Simon Brown. The Kabbala has 10 items Feng Shui has five elements. I think it must be possible to summarize the Kabbala into two pentagrams, may be even one.

CAUSE There must be a lot of wisdom into the Kabbala. But as you can see on the drawing there is only one point below. So it won’t stand on earth without support. I reckon this as rather male, cause male persons do have a tendency to theorize. On the other hand this Feng Shui pentagram can not be stopped, without doing harm. So a nice new syntheses should be possible, I hope.

THEREFORE: in my opinion truth (truthes, there are many of them) come from above to go downwards. I have been into these high areas and I decide not to go back. I turned into a Platonist, I am trying to work on math, graphic, logic. So I offer this idea to the world. May be someone could work this out.

LOOK: this is a confession! From Thu. 6/9 till Wed. 12/9 ’11: when two aeroplanes flew into the WTC building and people were jumping out off windows to die, I gained about €1486. (fl.7716 (saldo re, bld 25) -4440 (saldo li, bld 21)= fl.3276,-). This profit was caused by purchasing and selling one fairly small long position (by 3 call options AEX 47; speculating on increasing rates: a bull market) and 2 fairly small short positions (by 2 x 3 put options AEX 48 & 50, speculating on diminishing rates, a bear market). The idea is to cover long positions by short positions and the other way around. All this is meant to explain the tennis babe but photo down below in this blog. I think people should realize (by that time) about 2000 billion dollars a day were turned over on the whole market of financial derivates, which includes not only options but also futures, currency, T bounds etc. Lots of this trade is done automatically by computers and almost only professionals are involved. Two thousand billion dollars mean about 2000/6= $366,- a person a day on this earth!!! To me this is unfair and way out of proportion because most a lot of people don’t even have money to buy a decent meal and a lot people don’t know even know what a financial derivate is!

CAUSE An option is a RIGHT to buy or sell stocks. These RIGHTS can be written or purchased. All orders are cleared by the office of a particular option exchange market, this is a firm or company. The option market itself is a closed market: the one who writes an option, get paid the one who buys an options pays to this office. It is hard to tell who takes the risks and guarantees of not selling a written option or not buying a wanted option at particular rates: specialised firms and banks are involved. In the case ABOVE I was trying a new strategy known as having a SPREAD. I had both short and long positions, because I had lost lots of money already. I decided to take profit whenever it was doubled. Also you can see I cashed in between by selling AEX 50 puts and replaced them by AEX 48 puts. Obviously I was impressed by the nine eleven attack ; I didn’t trade a few days. On Sep 18 I took a long position, probably speculating on a rebound of the AEX! Which, by the way, could also easily be sold out as: ‘Yes sir, our office started to buy support purchases to prevent markets from further going downwards’ J. Question remains: what if I just had this put AEX 50 making the money till 21 sept ’11? It was covered by 5 call options! And that is why I decided to be a lousy broker; I never regretted this decision.

SO: NO, I am NOT going to defend Mohamed Atta, the leader of this Pact. Atta was educated as an architect & urban designer; this probably explains his so mean aimed targets: I think he has fore seen what an impact this attack would have on the western world. However; I do fight this opinion that (a lack of) education and terrorism have nothing to do with each other! Namely: it will take a good education to realize that (most of) your family and people you belong to are poorly educated. My theory is that this causes a kind of loneliness and then these terrorizing thoughts of hate have a chance to grow bigger and bigger, until they reach a point of no return and the decision to act as a terrorist become inevitable. Of course I do respect the suffering of American citizens who lost family, friends or colleges. But don’t you guys think it is also about time to honor innocent Afghanistan and Iraqi civilians who died as collateral damage by George W. Bush hunting down Osama Bin Laden?

CONCLUSION1: I don’t think terrorism can be fought, because terrorists can’t be identified. Stop torturing persons to confess they are: you will only create more hate and martyrs and therefore more terrorists! No, I am not going to check other stuff on what I WAS DOING 9/11, though I could if I was forced to so.

CONCLUSION2: YES; I stated a lot in this blog: 1 my doubts on trading financial derivates and 2 I have my doubts on American foreign politics.

This is a second version; I just could do any better.

DUS; economische wetenschappers zouden opnieuw moet uitvinden waar een munt nu feitelijk voor staat: waardoor wordt de waarde van een munt nu echt gevormd en wat zou wenselijk zijn? Ik vermoed dat de conclusie van die studie zal leiden tot een tempering van het grenzeloze getennis op de beurzen. Ik verwacht bovendien dat deze uitkomst zal leiden tot een herwaardering van menselijke arbeid (in Joules) en landbouw (ook in Joules) in vergeleken met de winning van grondstoffen, transport en de productie inclusief het feitelijke gebruik van artefacten (ook in Joules).
